So hello you all, Do you guys also think that scrubbing & exfoliating forms an essential part of your skincare? Do you also think that your skin needs exfoliation on regular basis? Whether it's about removing dirt, impurities, dead skin cells, or hydrating your skin, exfoliating just can't wait to show its awesome benefits. Exfoliating your skin helps to heal skin breakouts and restore your skin texture getting back that radiance on your face. It not only removes dead skin cells but illuminates your skin with silky smooth supple skin.

Benefits of exfoliating your skin:

  • Helps to remove dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin paving the way for fresh new cells to generate.
  • Helps to brighten up your dull-looking skin.
  • Exfoliating boosts collagen in the skin that provides a base for healthy vibrant skin.
  • Helps to keep your pores clean & healthy by removing clogged pores.
  • Helps in easy absorption of moisturizer in the skin.
  • Regular circular strokes during Exfoliating improves blood circulation in the skin leading to a healthy glow on your skin.
  • Smooth and soft skin secret.
  • It wipes out excess oil from the skin and balances oil secretion.

Not only face but your whole body needs exfoliation regularly, be it chemical ( lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc) or physical exfoliator ( brush, loofa, sugar, etc), to activate skin cells and to remove dead skin cells thus avoiding severe skin breakouts.

So yes, today I am going to share my personal experience with these 2 awesome scrubs with different properties along with their benefits and suitable skin types especially for those who are a beginner looking for normal to mid-range exfoliators. I hope you like it.

So let's get started. Here are the top 2 drugstore scrubs with their finest properties:

BLACKHEADS REMOVAL SCRUB

Neutrogena deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub:

Neutrogena products are always been my favorites and this scrub just got my heart. Every time I feel heavy on my skin, this is always my first pick to avoid impurities and clogged pores that often happen to me due to oily skin. As a skin regimen, I find it a perfect fit for oily and combination skin people and best for sensitive skin people. It is mainly a face scrub. From the very first use, you can see very satisfactory results on your blackheads and clogged pores. Apart from that, it helps to prevent new blackheads from Forming if used 2 times (for sensitive skin) &3 times (for normal skin) a week. You will have your skin nurtured with a silky smooth finish eliminating all dirt & impurities along with oil yet keeping it radiant.

Talking about its ingredients, this scrub consists of blackheads fighting complex, cedarwood oil, (helps to reduce stubborn breakouts & acne), salicylic acid (for acne), glycol (to moisturize) that are, for me, a perfect class of ingredients for an ideal exfoliator. It contains microbeads that are actually very small in size that gently exfoliate your skin without getting harsh on the skin. I myself have sensitive skin and over-exfoliating doesn't suit my skin as it leads to more skin breakouts instead of repairing it. Thanks to this scrub that now I get to see more clear skin with its regular use. So overall a very mild exfoliator is suitable for all skin types.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PRODUCT:

  • It is non-comedogenic.
  • It is dermatologist tested.
  • Deep cleaning
Coming to its price, it comes in a tube of 100g with MRP ₹350 & 40g with MRP ₹160. And 1 tube can keep you busy for at least 4-5 months or even more depending on usage. Seeming it's brand value, a mid-range product and very affordable. Even if you are a first-time user, you can grab the smaller one for testing purposes.

TAN REMOVAL SCRUB

Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan-Removal scrub:

This is another awesome scrub and the first-ever scrub I have used. Biotique products lie between low to mid-range and are fantastic for Beginners. It is mainly a face scrub but you can exfoliate your whole body using this. This scrub has a natural formation with its key ingredient papaya that is well known for its amazing healing benefits. A natural exfoliating scrub with a blend of natural ingredients that unclog pores and dissolve dead skin cells from the upper layer of skin. You can feel very soft skin just after its use. You can also see a slight difference in your complexion as it helps to remove tan.

As it is a natural scrub, it consists of beads that are not tiny but small in size. It is thick in texture. As I used this scrub it actually got me soft smooth skin as I feel like pulling my own cheeks like crazy. I would say this scrub is suitable for all skin types and in particular, will best go for dry skin people. Although It is gentle on the skin, It will be difficult for sensitive skin people to use it frequently as its beads tend to feel harsh and tear your skin if used for too long at one time or used frequently. Sensitive skin people can use it 1-2 times a week and others 2-3 times a week or as suits to your skin. Don't put too much pressure while using it. Just give a light pressure and massage it in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes and wash off.

Coming to its de-tanning part, it actually does its job. Its regular use helps to remove tan. You can see the difference in your complexion over time.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PRODUCT:
  • Organically pure & preservative-free
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Natural scrub
CAUTION:
  • Using harsh hands can lead to skin breakouts.
Talking about its price, this scrub comes in 4 types of packaging in different quantities.

50g tube at MRP ₹75
100g tube at MRP ₹140
75g container at MRP ₹199
235g container at MRP ₹520

Buying a tube will be the best choice as scrub tends to get dry more easily in the container.

TIPS: If you have acne-prone skin don't go for boutique papaya scrub instead Neutrogena or any other chemical scrub will be best for you. whenever attacked by new acne, just use any of them after cleanser followed by a toner and a mild moisturizer.
